OUR VISION and GOAL

We hold a profound belief in the transformative power of Dhamma, the guiding light that can mold our children into great human beings. Our ultimate vision is to inspire change that fosters not only intellectual development but, more importantly, the inner transformation of our children into compassionate and wise individuals.

GUIDING LIGHT IN THE FOUR AREAS

In our children’s classes, we cast our guiding light upon the essential pillars of Dhamma teachings to foster growth. The syllabus is meticulously designed to encompass four fundamental areas:

1. Establishing Faith (Saddha) in the Triple Gem

We guide our young learners in developing reverence and trust in the Triple Gem – the Buddha, the Dhamma, and the Sangha. This foundation of faith becomes the bedrock of their spiritual journey.

2. Fostering Wholesome and Ethical Character (Sila)

We aim to cultivate virtuous character in our children, instilling values of honesty, kindness, and ethical living. Through these principles, they discover the path to harmonious relationships in all aspects of their life.

3. Cultivating Skilful Mental Qualities (Samadhi)

Mental strength and inner virtues are key elements in our curriculum. We guide our young minds towards balance and serenity, helping them develop the ability to face life’s challenges with equanimity.

4. Development of Wisdom (Panna)

Wisdom, the crowning jewel, is cultivated through a deep understanding of the world and oneself. We empower our students to seek insight, guiding them toward clarity on the Buddha’s path to Enlightenment.

NURTURING THE JOY OF LEARNING

In our classrooms, we believe in a teaching approach that inspires a lifelong love for Dhamma:

No Homework or Exams:

We encourage a stress-free environment where the joy of learning is paramount. There will be no homework or exams to weigh down the spirits of our students.

Making Notes as a Personal Choice:

While paper-based homework is absent, the opportunity to create personal notes is always open. This encourages students to engage with the teachings in a way that resonates with them.

Learning for Life:

Our emphasis is on not just acquiring knowledge but also living the Dhamma. We challenge our children to apply these teachings in their daily lives, where the real transformation takes place.

Interactive Activities and Practical Sessions:

The classroom becomes a hub of interactive activities and practical sessions, fostering experiential learning that breathes life into the Dhamma teachings.

We invite you to join us on this journey of nurturing compassionate, wise, and resilient individuals who will shape the future with love and wisdom. The transformation begins here.

Extracurricular Activities

In our mission to nurture not just young minds but compassionate hearts, we go beyond the conventional classroom setting. Our extracurricular activities are designed to inspire, inform, and instill values that transcend textbooks.

1. Celebrating Vesak Day and Robe Offering Ceremony:

The children are invited to partake in these sacred traditions, immersing themselves in the profound spirit of Vesak. They learn the significance of the day and feel the warmth of community in these wholesome events.

2. Tisarana Ceremony – Finding Refuge:

We hold space for the children to embrace the Three Refuges when they are ready. It is a moment of personal commitment and spiritual growth.

3. Gratitude on Mother’s and Father’s Day:

We emphasise the virtues of filial piety on these days, instilling the values of respect and gratitude. These moments of recognition are also reminders that our teachings extend beyond books.

4. Inspiring Talks by Guest Speakers:

We bring real-world success stories to the children by inviting guest speakers including entrepreneurs, experts, and specialists who walk the path of Dhamma. These individuals will then share their respective journeys, demonstrating how they have applied these principles to achieve greatness.

5. Temple Tours and Dhamma-Infused Expeditions:

We explore the rich tapestry of Buddhist traditions with temple tours and other expeditions. These outings will expand the children’s understanding of Dhamma in practice and provide them with a well-rounded perspective of the world.

These extracurricular activities are not just events; they are experiences that enrich the lives of our young learners, providing them with wisdom, values, and a broader view of the world. We believe that learning extends beyond the classroom, and these activities are stepping stones in their journey toward becoming compassionate and wise individuals.
