In preparation for Vesak Day, the Torchbearers hand made cards with their spiritual aspirations written on it, based on the theme of peace and compassion. The children got hands-on and displayed on Vesak Day. Many families also contributed traditional Chinese, Sri Lankan and Thai Vesak lanterns to be used as decorations around the centre on the actual event day. The atmosphere was high and exciting among all the children as they came through with innovative card designs and mindful spiritual reflections.
