Today’s Dhammapada verse is based on a story of two women whose hatred for each other followed them life after life. It reminds us of the dangers of holding on to grudges, both for the present and future lives. On the other hand, forgiving brings us great benefits. But even if we understood this, it is still difficult for many of us to let go of our grudges. Why? As Buddhists, what can we do to free ourselves from the burden of hatred?
