Ever encountered someone who seems to know everything, or so he or she claims?  This “I know” attitude is a common stumbling block for making progress, both in the spiritual sense and the mundane or material. It closes our minds to new knowledge and prevents us from clearing doubts or deepening our understanding. The attitude also hardens our pride and ego, making us unwilling to learn from others. Finally, the attitude discourages the wise from guiding you or sharing their wisdom. Clearly, the “I know” attitude is unhelpful for our spiritual and material development.
