We reap what we sow. This is the principle of kamma. The results of one’s actions may be evident in the here and now or they may show up in our future lives. This truth is at the core of Queen Mallika’s questions: how does one explain why people are differently endowed with beauty, wealth or power? What does it have to do with attributes like anger, stinginess, and jealousy? Conversely, how does the cultivation of loving kindness, generosity, and appreciative joy result in favourable endowments?
