The Buddhist path is one of transformation; a transformation that will liberate one from all clinging and suffering, and the extinguishment of all defilements, stage by stage, until one is awakened. In this sutta, we learn how this could happen in five situations: while learning the dhamma; teaching the dhamma; reciting the dhamma; reflecting on the dhamma; or meditating. This is provided we have put in the right effort and created the right conditions. So, how do we create the right conditions to realize the fruits of the path? What is the effort we need to put in? And how do we know if we are making progress?
