Every culture has its own beliefs about things considered auspicious or inauspicious.  We may do or say certain things, like wearing certain colours, preferring certain numbers, or avoiding certain actions hoping that they will bring us good luck or blessings. From the dhamma point of view, however, these are mere superstitions.  Does this mean there is nothing that is truly auspicious?  Not true.  The Buddha himself had listed 38 things that will bring us true blessings.  What are they and how they work?  What is special about the dhamma way of understanding blessings?
