
Every culture has its own beliefs about things considered auspicious or inauspicious. We may do or say certain things, like wearing certain colours, preferring certain numbers, or avoiding certain actions hoping that they will bring us good luck or blessings. From the dhamma point of view, however, these are mere superstitions. Does this mean there is nothing that is truly auspicious? Not true.
